The holiday season is upon us and along with it comes all kinds of fun events around Snohomish County. Below is a list of just a few of the local holiday happenings for the first week of December. Look for more posts in the coming days for future holiday fun.

Cedarcrest Holiday Tour of Lights in Marysville

When: 12/1/2011 - 12/30/2011 from 5-9 p.m. Where: Cedarcrest Golf Course, 6810 84th St. NE, Marysville, WA Witness the transformation of a golf course into a winter wonderland of magical lighted displays. Take a hayride or rotary train through the lights. Enjoy a bonfire, holiday music and restaurant specials. Visit for more information.

The Lights of Christmas in Stanwood

When: 12/1/2011 - 12/28/2011 Where: Warm Beach Camp, 20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood, WA Come see more than 1 million Christmas lights spread out over 15 acres. Enjoy the entertainment, vendors and food. Visit for more information.

Holiday Tree Lighting in Mukilteo

When: 12/3/2011 at 6 p.m. Where: Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln, Mukilteo, WA Come on out for photos with Santa, entertainment, food and fun. Visit the City of Mukilteo's web site for more information.

Hometown Holidays in Arlington

When: 12/3/2011 at noon Where: Downtown Arlington, WA Kick off the holidays in Arlington with the Santa Parade at noon, followed by free wagon rides around town, carolers, photos with Santa, and the tree lighting ceremony at 5pm at Legion Park.

Santa's Coming to Town Parade and Tree Lighting in Mill Creek

When: 12/3/2011 from 3:30-7 p.m. Where: Main Street and City Hall in Mill Creek, WA Come on down to Mill Creek for the annual holiday parade and tree lighting event. Parade performances include the Jackson High School Jazz Band and Drumline, Disney characters, carolers, and Santa and his Elves. Visit for more information.

Holiday on the Bay & Lighted Boat Parade - Build a Gingerbread House & Watch a Holiday Movie

When: 12/3/2011 from 1-4:30 p.m. Where: Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett, WA Bundle up the family and join the holiday fun at the Everett waterfront! Build a gingerbread house, watch a movie, hear some holiday music, and watch the tree lighting and lighted boat parade. Santa will be there too! Toys for Tots Airport Run in Arlington

When: 12/3/2011 at 11 a.m. Where: Stillaguamish Athletic Club, 4417 172nd St. NE, Arlington, WA Get into your holiday fitness groove and help those less fortunate at the same time. There’s a 5K walk or run and a 10K run with all proceeds benefitting Marines Toys for Tots. Visit for more information.
