Pre-closing Orientation

Pacific Ridge Homes will take you through a pre-closing orientation to make sure you are familiar and comfortable with your new home and everything in it. You'll also get our easy-to-use Homeowner's Maintenance Manual - a free manual that covers all the maintenance requirements for your home (how to winterize pipes, for example) and includes operating instructions for your in-home systems and appliances. In the event you ever misplace your Homeowner's Maintenance Manual, you can download another copy.

To further protect your investment, every home we build is backed by a 10-year homeowners warranty. This warranty is not offered by all home builders - just by those who have passed the rigorous scrutiny of the underwriting company, builders who have established a reputation for quality. Our 10 year homeowners warranty provides you with:

Ten-year protection against defects to the foundation and other structural elements

Good maintenance keeps your home trouble free

As a new homeowner, you'll want to maintain your home in good working order. Keeping your gutters clean, changing your furnace filters on a regular basis, and on-going up-keep in and around your home will eliminate repairs or damage due to failure to maintain your home. Warranty coverage does not include regular wear and tear, damage due to lack of maintenance or cleaning of your home.

US mortgage rates at, near record lows-Freddie Mac

Mortgage rates dropped in the past week, with fixed-rate loans either reaching or nearing record lows, according to a survey released on Thursday by Freddie Mac, the second-largest U.S. mortgage finance company.

New home sales show surprising gains

New home sales were up 14.8 percent in April compared with March, according to a report from the Commerce Department. The seasonally adjusted annual rate of 504,000 units was the highest since April 2008.

That follows a 29.8 percent jump in March – the largest increase in 47 years.

Tax credit end not deterring US homebuyers

Home buyer tax credits have been a boon to the U.S. housing market, but their expiration this week is unlikely to deter home purchasing activity as consumers grow more confident, according to a survey released on Wednesday.
